What does 어디로 mean?

어디로 means "where to; in which direction" in Korean.

How it works here

‘-로’ is attached to ‘어디’ to ask about or indicate the direction of movement. Here, together with ‘갔지?’ (went?), it asks which way the person went.

When it's used

Used to ask about the direction of movement, destination, or place someone or something is headed. It is natural when asking for directions or checking where someone is going.

The line

홉이는 진짜 어디로 갔지?

Where did Hobi really go?

This is said when asking about the direction someone has gone because you do not know their location.

A word used to ask or indicate in which direction or toward where someone is going.

This is an adverb expressing direction and is mainly used with movement or direction verbs such as ‘가다’ (go), ‘오다’ (come), and ‘가리키다’ (point). Compared with ‘어디’ (where), it more clearly asks about a direction or destination. It is the form with the case particle ‘-로’ attached and is common in conversation.
