What does 못 할 것 같아 mean?

못 할 것 같아 means "It seems like I won’t be able to do it" in Korean.

How it works here

‘못’ combines with the following ‘할 것 같아’ (it seems like I will do it) to indicate impossibility. ‘-(으)ㄹ 것 같다’ expresses a guess, and the preceding ‘못’ negates that content.

Key expression

V-(으)ㄹ 것 같다

To think or guess that something will happen or be a certain way

Attached after verbs and adjectives, it adds a future or conjectural sense. ‘-(으)ㄴ 것 같다’ is closer to judging a current state, while ‘-(으)ㄹ 것 같다’ is often used to guess about a future event or possibility.

When it's used

Use it when making a tentative judgment or saying gently what you think will happen despite lacking definite evidence.

The line

못 할 것 같아

I don't think I can do it.

Said while considering in advance whether something will be possible.
